STONE SOUR's 'Through Glass' Reaching New Heights
September 7, 2006STONE SOUR's hit single, "Through Glass", recently took the #1 spot on the Mainstream and Active Rock Charts, marking it the first #1 single in the band's career. The song bests the #4 charting position the band reached with "Bother", from their gold-selling, self-titled debut album. "Through Glass" is currently #7 on the Modern Rock Chart, while the video was officially added to MTV2. The track is the first single off the band's latest album, "Come What(ever) May", which debuted at #4 on The Billboard 200 chart when it was released on August 1.
Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER),"Come What(ever) May" moved 81,000 units its first week out (triple the first-week tally of the first album) and has sold over 191,000 units to date.
STONE SOUR is currently on the Family Values Tour with KORN, DEFTONES, FLYLEAF and others. This winter they will embark on the Music As A Weapon Tour with DISTURBED. The group's lead vocalist, Corey Taylor, is one of the most recognized figures in rock, thanks to his dual role as the frontman for STONE SOUR and the Grammy-winning, multi-platinum act SLIPKNOT. The band is also comprised of guitarist James Root, who does double duty in SLIPKNOT, bassist Shawn Economaki, guitarist Josh Rand and new drummer Roy Mayorga.
